Hello Friends and thank you for visiting the Speedy G Alternative Website where we tell you the real truth about what happens, hopefully BEFORE you agree to having them come out to tow your vehicle. Please by all means don’t believe us, just check out all the 1 star & negative Google and Yelp reviews first. We would give them zero stars if we could. Also look them up on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) as they not accredited (trusted) by them at all and now have an “F” rating for ALL their locations. We believe all the reviews on their own site are fake but trust us there are actual honest ones like this one all over the internet, so do yourself a favor and just look for them first.
Avoid getting ripped off and so much aggravation if you value your hard-earned money and time. It’s criminal they can continue to get away with ripping people off as much as they do so we feel the need to fight back by giving everyone the REAL FACTS about how they conduct business. After so many years of complaints the BBB has finally come around to giving them an “F” rating, but the Illinois States Attorney’s Office offers ZERO protection to Illinois consumers against such an unscrupulous business like this one. They have found loopholes to beat the system with little to no recourse for consumers against them. We can only believe now that this has gone on for so long that they are run by the Chicago mafia and paying someone off to continue to allow this to happen.
Don’t get taken advantage of when needing an emergency tow when you breakdown and getting sucked in to paying 2-3 times what you need to for a simple tow. $545 to tow our vehicle 4.5 miles to the repair shop with a $225 “hook up” charge. Then they tell you it’s “your” fault for not asking if there is an additional charge, really this is what they tell you…
It’s not just about the money it’s about the principal. Many of us would knowingly pay more in a bad situation IF at least told in advance but not FORCED to after the fact like they do here. You don’t find out how bad they are sticking you until your vehicle is all loaded up. Then when you tell them you’re not paying it they refuse to take it off the truck, hold your vehicle hostage and threaten to impound it until you do. They have figured out how to beat the system by refusing to give you an invoice so you can’t dispute the charge with the credit card companies either so don’t sign the tablet, ask for a physical invoice.
And finally, to Speedy G Towing we truly hope you enjoy riding the Karma Train right into going out of business which you so richly deserve for being such an awesome deceptive and criminal place to do business with… Thanks so much for NEVER responding and forcing us to expose you for the completely fraudulent criminal business people you are…

”Terrible company! Do not use!

They showed up 4 hours late, towed our truck to a location, and then asked for $4,000 and demanded payment within an hour. We had to take this to upper management since towing of this nature and distance typically cost $600-$1,200. Before doing that, we needed clarification on what we were being billed on and they failed to do that. Just got very rude with us and said ”don’t worry about it, we will tow it back to our storage yard”. The next day management kept us on hold until the line hung up on us. When we finally got him on the phone, he wouldn’t work with us all. We had to pay them their $4,000 and pay another company $650 to tow it to the original location.

These people are CROOKS! Stay away from them! Reviews are very accurate of our experience!!”

”Used them for a basic tractor trailer tow going 15 miles. Driver finally showed up 4 hours later, said he had to stop for breakfast and then stopped again for fuel. His words not mine. Was quoted one price and then later found out the price was 4 times what was quoted. Tried to speak to management and was threatened by the guy on the phone instead. Would never use again or recommend. These are the ones that give the towing industry a bad name.”

”Avoid at all cost this company we did business with was a scam they quote you 295 a hour we had a truck and trailer towed and when we got the invoice it was charged 4k as then they said it’s all separate truck and trailer and even told them it was truck and trailer and it wasn’t disclosed not to mention 90 minutes turn into 4 hours and had to call them several times to see where they were and while trying to set up payment and they were very inpatient decided to tow our truck and trailer towed their yard because we weren’t prompt enough as we were trying to understand why we weren’t told one thing and charged something else .. stay away from this company bunch of scammers.”
